THE COMMISSIONER

Arts Council Malta (ACM) is the national agency supporting the development, funding, and promotion of Malta’s cultural and creative sectors. ACM champions artists, values diversity and participation, fosters cross-sectoral collaboration and supports education, research, and professional development. It promotes active citizenship, strategic partnerships, accessible public engagement, and evidence-based decision-making, while recognising culture as a pillar of sustainable development and the importance of cultural infrastructure and international cultural relations.

Arts Council Malta is the commissioner of the Malta Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale, the London Design Biennale, and, for the first time this year, the Gwangju Arts Biennale. Through its International Cultural Relations Department, Arts Council Malta is also an active member of international networks such as IFACCA, EUNIC and IETM. Dr Luke Dalli is Executive Chairman.
